The carabiners are hot-forged and 3D shape-optimized for that perfect weight/breaking load ratio. A plus point for the wire gates is that they won’t freeze quite so easily in winter. At the same time, the danger of shock loading through the whiplash effect (in cases of impact against the rocks) is reduced.The rope side carabiner’s rubber retainer stops it from twisting and prevents any transverse loading.
