Climbing Technology North Couloir Ice Axe – Ice Tool

The Climbing Technology North Couloir Adze is a true quick-change artist! This adze version is equipped with an adze shovel. As a result of the aggressive angle of the tool and the additional features, it is perfect for use in steep icefalls and mixed routes. You have the option of fully modulating the tool as well – everything from the adze to the blade and the hammer to the Change Over and the Bumper can be swapped out. The adze is perfect for digging in snow and cleaning edges as well as for support on steep uphills and downhills (after removing the bumper). With their respective shaped profile and teeth, the interchangeable blades for mixed and ice climbing routes are perfectly tailored to each area of use. They can be swapped using a hex key. The impact hammer accessories to increase the weight of the head for more power and bite are just as easy to put on and take off. The Change Over at the upper part of the ergonomic handle works together with the Bumper to provide more security and increase the length of the graspable area. This will makes switching hands on technical routes much easier and increase your overall efficiency. The Change Over, Bumper and the aggressive curvature of the axe serve to prevent you from injuring your knuckles.

The Climbing Technology North Couloir Adze is an extremely versatile and strong ice axe that will help you save a lot of much-needed energy on technical routes! The ratio between weight and bite is so well balanced that you can use it to climb longer routes as well. The ice axe is also equipped with a steel hook with a hole for attaching a carabiner and/or an elastic ice axe sling holder. A sling is not included.
